1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DayCopilot provides an AI-powered digital day planner (the “Service”) that helps families manage schedules. We process your emails to surface events, tasks, and important details — then help you build a shared plan with the people that matter.

We offer two account tiers: a Free Plan with view-only access, and Paid Plans with full AI automation and email processing features.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of our service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Content

Our service allows you to forward emails or connect your email account ("User Content"). You retain all rights to your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute your User Content for the purpose of providing our services.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
• Your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party
• Your User Content complies with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use our service for illegal purposes or to harm others
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to our service or systems
• Access user or operational data without authorization

You must use DayCopilot in accordance with fair use principles. We reserve the right to define fair use and, if we believe the service is being abused, may contact you for clarification, suspend, or terminate your access.

6. Intellectual Property

The DayCopilot service, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by DayCopilot and protected by international intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your content, but we own the service itself.

7. Subscription and Payment

During the pilot program, DayCopilot is free to use. When we launch paid subscriptions, some features may require payment. New subscribers will receive a 14-day free trial period.

By subscribing and after the trial period, you agree to pay the fees described at the time of purchase. We may change our pricing at any time, but changes will not apply to existing subscriptions until renewal.

All payments are processed securely through our payment providers. You are responsible for providing accurate payment information and maintaining sufficient funds.

8. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellation

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at support@daycopilot.ai. When you cancel:

• Your paid features remain active until your current subscription period ends
• You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
• Your account automatically reverts to the Free Plan, maintaining view-only access to your data

Free Trial

You may cancel anytime during your 14-day free trial without being charged. Your account will revert to the Free Plan immediately.

Refunds

We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods. If you cancel, you retain access to paid features until your current subscription period ends, after which your account reverts to the Free Plan.

If you cancel within 7 days of a renewal, you may request a refund by contacting support@daycopilot.ai. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

Account Deletion

If you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated data, you may do so through your account settings. Your data will be permanently removed from our systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Service Terms & Limitations

DayCopilot takes reasonable and appropriate measures to protect the Service and your information. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we are committed to safeguarding your data and maintaining reliable operations.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or free from vulnerabilities.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, without prior notice. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us at support@daycopilot.ai.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data and Service operations. These include:

• Access controls and authentication requirements
• Encryption of data in transit and at rest, where appropriate
• Ongoing vulnerability management and monitoring
• Incident response procedures to address potential threats

These measures reflect our commitment to privacy and security but do not create any additional warranty or guarantee beyond what is stated in these Terms.

11. User Responsibility

You're responsible for your use of the Service and the content you provide. If your use of the Service or violation of these Terms results in claims against us, you agree to cover the associated costs.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by email at least 30 days in advance. If you disagree with the changes, you can terminate your account before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
